Payday safety check before approval
Before approving payroll, review pay changes since last month, joiners and leavers, missing bank details, holds and tax changes, and tick each section off.
A payroll cycle that fits your company
Choose a calendar month, a custom cut-off such as the 26th to the 25th, or paying salary the next month, and set the daily-rate divisor you use.
Multi-step payroll approval
Set up to twenty approval steps for each payroll run; nobody can sign twice, and the run shows who has approved and who is next.
Retry failed salary payments
Once an employee's account details are fixed, retry a failed salary payment or mark a paid one as bounced — every attempt stays on record.
Employees can request a shift change
Employees can ask to move to another shift from a chosen date, and the new shift starts on that date once it is approved.
Optional two-step sign-in
Anyone can add a code from an authenticator app to their sign-in for extra account protection, turned on from their profile.

Turn on the sandwich rule for any leave type, so weekends and holidays between leave days count as leave — employees see the count before applying.
Notes for approval
Send a note for approval through the line manager and HR, with HR choosing whether finance, a final approver or a named senior also signs.

The bank picker now lists hundreds of branches that were missing, so more employees can be paid straight into their bank account.
